The General Prosecutor asks Parliament to start procedures for the criminal prosecution against deputy minister for administration, Victor Paul Dobre, it is said in a statement of the prosecution.

He is accused of abuse of office against public interests in qualified form.

Prosecutors claim that there are indications that Victor Paul Dobre asked the Director of Record Person of the interior ministry, superintendent Constantine Manoloiu, to prepare a document in which was recorded that the MAI can not assume the veracity of the number of persons enrolled in the permanent electoral lists.

"Since the time of the conduct for which the Department prosecutors and criminal prosecution of the Prosecutor of the High Court of Cassation and Justice has been notified of the office, the called Victor Paul Dobre had the status of Minister Delegate for Administration at the Ministry administration and Interior, Member of Romanian Parliament, Chamber of Deputies called for bringing proceedings to the request for initiation of prosecutions, "it is said in a statement of the Prosecutor General.

"At issue was noted that through poor performance, with knowledge, of the duties was caused a disorder of the smooth large institutions in the records of persons entitled to vote and have been seriously affected those whose normal social relationships and ongoing development is impossible without a fairly fulfilling service duties by public officials or other officials, "said Prosecutor General.

In this case were indicted the head of the Personal Records and Database Management of Interior, Chief Superintendent Constantin Manoloiu, and Secretary of State in MAI, Ion Căbulea.

Also in this case have been heard at the Prosecutor General the President of the National Institute of Statistics, Vergil Voineagu, president of the Permanent Electoral Authority, Ana Maria Pătru, and Deputy Head of the Directorate for Personal Records and Database Management of Interior, Daniel George .

Victor Paul Dobre resigned on August 6 from the position of Deputy Minister for Administration, at the same time with the former Interior Minister, Ioan Rus.
