Flu vaccine available in Romania from September 15, 2018

Romanian Ministry of Health has signed a contract, under a framework agreement, for the procurement of flu vaccine doses. Delivery will be made to the health authorities as of 15 September 2018 and the Ministry of Health has already set the delivery timetable in the territory. Value of the contract is 11 million lei.
Free vaccination campaign of the Ministry of Health against seasonal influenza will be carried out in hospitals and cabinets of general practitioners, and the beneficiaries are people at high risk of illness, namely medical personnel, people over the age of 65, persons with chronic diseases, especially respiratory, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
Doctors recommend that people strictly adhere to hygiene rules, in order to prevent illness. Washing hands with water and soap, using handkerchiefs when sneezing or coughing is essential for flu prevention.
