Romania will receive from Norway and from the member states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, 306 million euros by 2016 for development programs.

The areas covered are justice and internal affairs, environmental protection, promotion of civil society, eco-innovation, cultural heritage or academic research.

Norway proves a special concern for the situation of gypsies in Romania, so 10% of the total funds will go towards projects for them.

The four agreements signed today provides for funding for a reform of the judicial system in Romania, improvements in the prison and correctional system , combating domestic violence, but also for the Schengen cooperation and fighting organized crime and cross-border.

The agreement for justice will be including in the case of the constitutional reform effects in Romania said Norway's Minister of Justice Grete Faremo.

"The courts of Norway will be the Romanian Ministry of Justice partner and together they set up the programs of activities for development of the system of courts and procedures in Romania, but also the constitutional issues that might be linked to them," said Grete Faremo.

Funding for programs aimed at including the justice to achieve uniform practices and decisions, which would help the Minister of Justice, said Robert Cazanciuc, if Parliament will vote next week on new codes in the form proposed by the Government.

"An important component of this project will be allocated to the development of the IT system, to the judiciary. Try using this system to publish, inter alia, on the site of courts decisions so that magistrates should be able to see the solutions. In this way you reduce practice to art, "says Robert Cazanciuc.

In total, Norway will give Romania 8 million euros plus a capacity 15% Romanian.
