European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labor Mobility, Marianne Thyssen, is visiting Romania on 11-12 October 2017- the European Commission Representation in Bucharest announced.
On October 11, Commissioner Marianne Thyssen will meet in Bucharest the Romanian Minister of Labor and Social Justice Lia- Olguţa Vasilescu, the Minister of Public Consultation and Social Dialogue, Gabriel Petrea, and the Minister-Delegate for European Funds, Rovana Plumb.
On Thursday, Commissioner Thyssen will participate, in Iaşi, in a Citizens’ Dialogue on the future of (social) Europe and the European Pillar of Social Rights. At the start of the event, she will open an exhibition on „60 years of EU”, together with Romanian Minister-Delegate Plumb.
The EU Commissioner and Minister-Delegate Plumb will conclude the day together by visiting a project supported by the European Social Fund at the Medical University of Iaşi.
