EU offers additional aid to UN Palestinian Refugee Agency

European Union has provided an additional $ 46 million to compensate at least a part of the budget deficit of the United Nations Palestinian Refugee Agency in the Middle East after the United States decided to end its contribution.

Agency's budget remains insufficient, although Germany, Sweden, Turkey and Japan have previously announced they will supplement their contribution to the budget of this UN agency.

Washington has decided to put an end to a policy that it regards as a failure and will no longer fund the Palestinians out of the taxes paid by American citizens - says RRA correspondent Dragoş Ciocârlan
