Over 100,000 people are expected to attend the Electric Castle Festival that starts today at the Banffy Castle in Bonţida, Cluj County, one of the most beautiful baroque buildings in Romania.

For five days, dozens of Romanian and international artists will perform on the nine stages of the Electric Castle.

During the Festival, there will be parking spaces arranged throughout the village. There will also be special bus rides, and Romanian Railway Company (CFR) has introduced an additional train-stop in Bonţida to make it easier for people to get to the Festival. A train ticket costs about 1 euro.

This year, organizers have introduced the policy of zero tolerance towards violence. They also want to recycle the waste produced by Festival participants.

If needed, participants can already buy their famous yellow boots, which have become a symbol of the Electric Castle Festival. Bets are back in fashion on the weather forecast in Bonţida. There is a predominance of those who bet that this time it will rain again.
