National Anticorruption Directorate requires the lifting of the immunity of parliamentarian Ion Stan, accused of trafficking in influence.

Justice Minister Mona Pivniceru has passed the Chamber of Deputies, the President of DNA's approval of pre-trial detention.

Investigators contend that Ion Stan would be claimed from a sneak peek at the amount of $ 130,000 for the campaign trail, instead of facilitating contracts.

According to the anti-corruption prosecutors, it would be received, through his driver, four installments of $ 15,000 each.

Later, DNA expanded research on the grounds that, during the period May-June 2009, Ion Stan as President of PSD Dâmboviţa, would be received from the same sneak, produced for the campaign trail since then, amounting to 100,000 euros.

Aged 57 years, Ion Stan is deputy of Dâmboviţa, a third consecutive term in the legislature.

He is Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for the control of activities of SRI.

Moreover, since 2000, when he walked into Parliament, he served in SRI Commission , between 2000-2004 Chairman of this commission.

In 1996, John Skelton was prefect of Dâmboviţa County.
