Declaration by Romanian Foreign Minister, Bogdan Aurescu, about the Media 2020 Conference.

Bogdan Aurescu: I believe it is very important, because it brings together the representatives of the main media institutions from four continents, and I also believe that choosing Bucharest as the venue for this event shows how important Bucharest is as a meeting point for these media cultures from various parts of the world.
The conference places Bucharest on the world map in an even better position than before and it could be a special opportunity for the Radio Romania News and Current Affairs Channel, for the Romanian culture, to reach other parts of the world. Consequently I believe this is a special opportunity and it should be capitalized on properly. I hope it will be a successful conference.
Reporter: What is the relevance of the fact that Radio Romania organized this event?
Bogdan Aurescu: This shows the importance of Radio Romania at international level, this means that the projects Radio Romania has promoted so far are successful projects and I hope it will carry on with these projects.
