Dacia factories are not for sale, say the leaders of the union from Mioveni

Dacia factories are not for sale, say the leaders of the union from Mioveni, after information appeared in the public space regarding an imminent takeover of the Arges plants by other investors.

An information regarding the reorganization of the Renault group, published in a specialized reporting, speaks about the fact that for the Mioveni factories a request for collaboration would have been received. The news was taken over and interpreted as an offer to buy.

Basically, the information is nothing but a rumor, says the president of the Dacia Automobile Union, Viorel Ungureanu.

Viorel Ungureanu: It's a rumor. Renault has made another two-pronged development strategy: electric vehicles, which include the Renault range in France, and thermal engines, in which Dacia will also be included. We will not make a sale, but we may look for a partnership, as we are also in the group with Nissan and other companies we work with to strengthen our market position, not for anything else.
