Beneficiaries of social cards will receive a new tranche of 250 lei by August 15, announced the Ministry of Investments and European Projects.
It is about 2 and a half million vulnerable people, and the total amount allocated is 625 million lei.
The responsible minister, Adrian Caciu, stated that the support for those with low incomes comes in the context where the prices of basic products drop, on average, by 25%, and people have the same products at their disposal but at lower costs.
The money from the state is granted once every two months and can be used exclusively for food products or hot meals.
