Angel Tilvar: We need new members of the Romanian Armed Forces

The army needs new members and will continue its efforts to attract as many young people as possible to pursue a military career - said the Minister of Defense, Angel Tilvar, present on Thursday at the Gala of the Naval Forces in Constanta.

He highlighted the successes achieved recently in the campaigns to promote the military career among young people from various counties.

Minister Angel Tilvar emphasized that people are the most important resource of the Romanian Armed Forces.

Angel Tilvar: We need new members of the Romanian Armed Forces. A number of service members meet the conditions to retire and leave. In vain we talk about tanks, missiles, corvettes, frigates, all the things we want and will have. They need personnel with a high level of qualification, because, at the present time, the Romanian Army means personnel with a very, very high level of qualification. That is why I insist to join the armed forces, but also the desire to stay in the armed forces should be encouraged by ensuring a standard of living and the predictability of a career in this field.
