American B-52 Bomber trains in Romania’s Airspace

United States Air Force B-52 strategic bomber conducted training, on Tuesday, April 2nd, in Romania's airspace, in the area of "Getica" Joint National Training Center in Cincu, Brasov County. Training took place under coordination of Romanian Air Force Staff, Air Operational Component, alongside Forward Air Control (FAC) and Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) elements belonging to Romanian Air and Terrestrial Forces, reads a press release from Romanian Ministry of National Defense (MapN).

Training of a US Air Force's B-52 strategic bomber aircraft primarily aims to demonstrate the allied power in the South-East Europe and to increase Romania's confidence in the United States' involvement in ensuring regional security, by providing reassurance measures in NATO’s South East flank.
