Almost 1.500 new cases of COVID-19

1.421 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Tuesday, December 7, a slightly lower number than a week ago, but resulted from of a much larger number of tests than last Tuesday, over 50.000.
The positive rate was thus below 3%. The number of coronavirus patients also continues to decline. There are just over 5.200 in hospitals, of which 834 in ICU.
The number of SARS-VOC-2-associated deaths remains quite high, at over 100. At national level, the average infection rate has dropped below 1.2 cases per thousand inhabitants, and most counties are listed as yellow zones, except for Arad, where the incidence is still just over 2.5 per thousand.
