In Romania, a regional center for the training of pilots operating on F-16 military aircraft will be established. The decision was taken yesterday in the Supreme Council of Defense.
It will be a cooperation with other allied nations and the company designing the fighter. Initially, Romanian pilots will be trained, and later, pilots from allied or partner states, including Ukraine, will participate.
At the same time, CSAT also established the objectives for the NATO summit in Vilnius, scheduled next week. President Klaus Iohannis will once again bring to the fore aspects related to the security of the Black Sea region, and Romania will continue to actively support Sweden's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance.
