About 2.5 million citizens in the European Union have been granted the right to remain in the United Kingdom after Brexit.
Most requests, over 500,000, came from Poles, followed by Romanians - 435,000 and Italians - 290,000.
Registration of European citizens wishing to remain in the United Kingdom must be done by the end of June 2021 in the case of Brexit by agreement, otherwise they can be expelled, warned British Minister for Security, Brandon Lewis.
