170 outdoor shows scheduled for New Year's Eve

Articol de Radiojurnal, 30 Decembrie 2021, 23:50

150.000 people are expected to take part in the 170 shows scheduled for New Year's Eve, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

Most of the public events are in Bucharest, Craiova, Piatra Neamt and Ploiesti.

9.000 policemen will be present during the three days when crowds are expected on the tourist routes, especially towards the resorts on Prahova Valley.

Ana Maria Burchi, captain of the Romanian Gendarmerie, reminds the rules of health protection, especially for those who will spend New Year's Eve at outdoor shows.

Ana Maria Burchi: We call on all those who will participate in these events not to consume alcoholic beverages in public, to pay special attention to children, to delimit themselves from any conflict situation or people who cause violence and to ask for the support of the nearby gendarmes if they notice any violations of the law. Tomorrow will be an evening when some of the restrictions are suspended. However, those who are in quarantine or in solitary confinement must remain in their homes, and in the crowded public space we must continue to wear a protective mask. The gendarmes will also be present in the mountain resorts for the safety of tourists.

Host: Romanian police make a new call to respect the rules of protection when using fireworks and to use only pyrotechnic materials permitted by law.
