100 years of military education in Sibiu

The Land Forces Academy from Sibiu celebrates, on July 1, 100 years of military education. On this occasion, in the Great Square of the historic center of the city, images from the century-old history of the Academy will be projected.
The screenings will take place on the Blue House building of the Brukenthal National Museum, on the evening of June 30 and July 1, between 8 and 11 pm. The images illustrate important moments in the lives of military students, such as: military oath ceremonies, parades, vintage photos from training sessions and vintage photos specific to military ceremonies, the organizers announce.
Also, the public will be able to see an exhibition with photos and documents from the centenary activity of this important Romanian military educational institution, an exhibition that can be visited between June 30 and July 2 at the Tourist Information Center on the ground floor of the City Hall.
According to the organizers, vintage photographs and other documents of historical significance will be exhibited, which will carry visitors, Sibiu residents or tourists, through the events that marked the evolution of this institution, from the Military School of Officers to today's Land Forces Academy, a school of higher education in Romania and in the world.
