Registration deadline on the dedicated website for Romanians abroad who wish to vote in the presidential elections in November ("votstrainatate.ro") is to be extended until September 15, according to a draft Emergency Ordinance to be adopted on Thursday, September 12, by the Executive.
Pending this decision, Romanian Permanent Electoral Authority did not close the website on Wednesday night, as it was the initial deadline, and registrations can be made at this time too.
RRA Reporter Petruţa Obrejan: "Romanians from abroad who intend to vote in the presidential elections can register until Sunday, September 15, on the website "www.votstrainatate.ro", if the draft Emergency Ordinance submitted by the Permanent Electoral Authority to the General Secretariat of the Government will be approved today in the Executive meeting.
So far, over 71,000 Romanians have registered on this online platform and registration process has accelerated significantly over the past few days.
