Prosecutors from the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) require from the Supreme Court a three-year jail sentence for the Romanian Senate President Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu in the file where he is accused of lying under oath and favoring the perpetrator.
Request has been made on Tuesday, 8 May, in the latest hearing at the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
File is about restitution of an area in the Snagov forest and the Băneasa Farm.
Tariceanu was sued by DNA on 7 July 2016.
