Exhibition of drawings made by Romanian plastic artist Mircea Cantor has been officially opened on Tuesday evening at the Museum of Hunting and Nature in Paris, where it can be visited until March 31st. Event is part of the series of events dedicated to the Cultural Season France - Romania.

RRA Correspondent in Paris, Daniela Coman: Extremely sensitive to the Romanian folk traditions, Mircea Cantor exhibits at the Museum of Nature and Hunting in Paris his drawings inspired by the masks worn by New Year carol singers in the Romanian villages. His drawings are accompanied by 100 exhibits sent by the Romanian Peasant Museum in Bucharest, about which the artist himself speaks:

Mircea Cantor: We were able to bring very important heritage objects. Let's say for the first time, we should take care of this patrimony that is about to disappear in Romania. Beyond that, the exhibition also articulates around some of my own special works, then there is the exhibition with the guest room, where I invited many artists from Cluj, where I come from.

France-Romania Season means almost a year of cultural, economic, social events organized together by the two countries to mark the end of the First World War and the Centenary of the Romanian Modern State.
