New rules in localities with an incidence between 3-6 per thousand

Articol de Radiojurnal, 20 Septembrie 2021, 04:50

More than 100 localities have crossed the threshold of three cases of COVID per thousand inhabitants, a level from which additional restrictions are imposed to limit the spread of coronavirus, according to the analysis of the National Institute of Public Health.

At the same time, eight communes are in quarantine, a measure taken after the threshold of 6 infections per thousand inhabitants has been exceeded, leading to students in these areas studying online.

In cities with incidences between 3 and 6 per thousand inhabitants, new rules for access to events and indoors spaces apply, participation being conditioned by the presentation of the green covid certificate, a document approved at European level since the summer which attests vaccination, recent testing or having had the virus.

Secretary of State in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Raed Arafat explained that the new rules do not create discriminatory situations.

Raed Arafat: First of all, I want to emphasize that this decision did not impose restrictions. So, instead of closing completely after three per thousand inhabitants, a solution was found to still allow economic activities to take place, while staying safe. That means we can't talk about discrimination. We allow all categories to participate, with one condition, to be one of the three: vaccinated, tested, or cured.
