At the Romanian Athenaeum, the pianist named "the painter of clavier", Radu Lupu, is performing. At the Big Hall of the Palace, the National Philharmonic of Russia is performing.

In the fourth day of the International Festival "George Enescu", at the Romanian Athenaeum will perform a pianist who was named "the painter of clavier", Radu Lupu.

The artist charms both the public and the critics: his visionary interpretation, unique, has a deep impact on listeners.

Radu Lupu will perform at the Romanian Athenaeum starting 19:30, sonatas by Franz Schubert within a recital which will be held in memoriam of Mihaela Ursuleasa.
At the Big Hall of the Palace, starting 17:00, the National Philharmonic of Russia will perform with Vladimir Spivakov at desk.

Officer of the Honor Legion in France, big admirer of Enescu, Vladimir Spivakov is the main conductor of the National Philharmonic of Russia, an orchestra founded in 2003 and considered by many the best in this country.

The soloist of the concert from September the 4th will be Serghei Dogadin, young violinist who won the Ceaikovski Contest in Moscow and who is also Mihaela Martin’s student.

The program, broadcast live by Radio Romania Musical and Radio Romania Cultural, will contain works of George Enescu, Serghei Rahmaninov, Ernest Chausson and Camille Saint-Saens.

Also, on September the 4th, starting 10:00, at the National University in Bucharest takes place a workshop in which Dan Dediu composer presents his own creation, followed, at 14:00, by a concert with opus of young Romanian composers in the version of IconArts Ensemble, conducted by Gabriel Bebelestea.

At the Philharmonic in Cluj, Jorg Widmann conducts, from the institution’s desk his own work and by Ulpiu Vlad.

New concert from "Great world orchestras" series

Tuesday, the third day, was opened also the series of Romanian orchestras on the stage of the Romanian Athenaeum, and at the Big Hall of the Palace concerted the American orchestra from Pittsburg.

With a great artistic rigor, the Philharmonic’s Banat Orchestra performed pages from contemporary composers from France, USA and Sweden, under the conduction of Radu Popa, and as soloist, the pianist Matei Varga.

Also, Tuesday, started the workshop "XXI century music – Enescu and his contemporaries", with the first three conferences at the University of Music in Bucharest.

At the Big Hall of the Palace, an American orchestra, from Pittsburg, with a German conductor and a pianist from China had on their poster music by Russian musicians: "concert nr. 1 for piano" by Piotr Ilici Ceaikovski, soloist Yuja Wang and "The fifth symphony" by Sostakovici, followed by three extraordinary recall at the audience’s request.
