"Graduation Average of 24.27 percent" at the Baccalaureat

The Minister of Education states that the rate of graduation at the autumn baccalaureate is 4,75 percent higher than last year.

The average percentage of promoting at the autumn session of the baccalaureate is 24,27 percent, said in a press conference the Minister of Education Ecaterina Andronescu.

She said that this percentage is 4,75 percent higher than last year.

Ecaterina Andronescu explained this increase by the fact that the summer training courses were organized for the second session of the baccalaureate.

The minister added, however, that the number of students who participated in these courses was not as great as expected by the ministry.

Ecaterina Andronescu said that to improve the results of the future sessions of baccalaureate, the education ministry comes with a series of proposals and training programs for teachers, continuous verification of how students learn the material, organization of Baccalaureate simulation whose notes to be considered for admission to a college but also to an organization professional baccalaureate, at the same time with the national one.

The highest percentages of promotion were recorded in Suceava (37,89 percent), Constanta (36,07 percent) and the lowest in Arges (11 percent) and Ialomita (9,23 percent).

A pass rate of over 30 percent was recorded in the districts of Bihor, Suceava, Vaslui, Buzau and Constanta.

A graduation rate of 20 percent to 30 percent was recorded in Alba, Arad, Bistrita Nasaud, Botosani, Braila, Cluj Dolj, Harghita, Iasi, Olt, Mehedinti, Mures, Sibiu, Salaj, Timis or Valcea.

The lowest graduation rate of fewer than 20 percent was registered in Arges, Bacau, Brasov, Caras Severin, Dâmboviţa, Galati, Ialomita, Prahova.

In Bucharest, only 18,52 percent of the students who presented at the autumn session of baccalaureate promoted.

The final results on September the 5th, after resolving the complaints.

The deadline for appeals is Sunday, 20.00.

The appeals will be resolved in the next two days for final results to be announced on Wednesday, September the 5th.

The total number of candidates who registered for the baccalaureate exam in August-September session is 99111.

Only in Bucharest have signed a number of 12,265 high school graduates.
The Ministry of Education began to post on the particular site the results at autumn session baccalaureate per county.

At the summer session of baccalaureate, the promotion rate was approximately 44 percent.

In 2011, after settling the disputes, the rate of promotion was 44.47 percent, the lowest in history.
