Former Romanian Prime Minister Mihai Tudose has returned to the Social Democratic Party (PSD). He has signed an application to join the Social Democrats Organization in Brăila – says a Facebook post of the leader of the local organization, Marian Dragomir, Brăila's Mayor.

Mihai Tudose resigned from the PSD at the beginning of 2019, after a long public conflict with Liviu Dragnea, in order to enroll in PRO Romania, the group led by Victor Ponta.

Following the May 2019 elections, Mihai Tudose has won a mandate as a Member of the European Parliament.

At the end of last year, he decided to leave PRO Romania, accusing Victor Ponta of behaving like Liviu Dragnea.
